The new Maxxis Victra Sport 5 (VS5) has proven it’s a tyre to be
reckoned with, tying with Bridgestone for 3rd place overall and taking out the
top spot in wet braking, against a high calibre field of the hottest new
performance tyres in the annual MOTOR Tyre Test.
The scene was set at the renowned Sydney Dragway at Eastern Creek, as eight performance tyres from some of the world’s leading tyre brands including Bridgestone, Goodyear, Pirelli, Michelin, and Continental – all previous winners of the test, were put through their paces in five gruelling disciplines. As Australia’s longest continuously running and most trusted independent media tyre evaluation, the exciting outcome from MOTOR’s latest test, adds weight to the VS5’s growing list of accolades both locally and internationally.

Although admitting their surprise at the result considering the pedigree field,
the judges said that “the Victra Sport 5 is excellent when it comes to wet
