With Cape York’s iconic Old
Telegraph Track right on his doorstep, this month’s Maxxis Man Off-road
Showcase follows the “RAZR” imprinted tracks of a seasoned 4×4 trailblazer
through thick dust, super formidable creek crossings and some stunning waterfalls
and scenery along the way!
Driving a 2007 Toyota Hilux SR 3.0 – with 285/75/16 RAZRs on -22 16×8 dynamic wheels, Maxxis enthusiast, Corey, can’t say enough good things about his tyres. He tells us they’re “unbelievable both on- and off-road” – and when he says “off-road”, he’s talking about some pretty mean terrain that puts the RAZRs to the test every time he turns on his ignition!
“Crossing some of the track’s infamous creeks and getting the Hilux out the other side can be hugely intense – but like the rest of the journey on this track, the RARZs are more than up to the challenge and do the job every time.”
Corey’s Hilux
has a number of mods that make it the perfect rig for a Cape York extreme
adventure, including 2” suspension lift 2” body lift, canopy setup with fridge
and drawers, front mount intercooler, HKS module, custom tune, throttle controller, 3” exhaust,
dual battery setup … just for starters.
And Corey’s 4×4’ing adventures don’t stop
with Queensland’s Outback landscapes. He’s also a well-seasoned off-roader in the
Victorian High Country – where there’s always a new challenge to take on.
“There are so many different track conditions especially with Victoria’s four seasons in one day! You can easily go from dry, rocky conditions to a mudslide and out the other side — all in just a matter of hours.”
